What to expect

Your mentees are super pumped to get to spend some 1:1 time with you. They have been briefed to come to you with questions or challenges related to product influence and having impact at work.

In the past, some students use the time to discuss topics outside of the course material, such as getting portfolio feedback. I suggest chatting in your first session about what they want to get out of their mentoring sessions and perhaps start to plan out an agreed upon agenda or topic list for future sessions.

Mentees have been given this 1:1 template to use with you to prepare for your sessions.

As a mentor, you are expected to provide the following:

We encourage mentees to book all their 1:1 slots with you when the course begins. If a mentee does not do this by the end of week 1, please let us know so we can encourage them to schedule.

Cancellations or re-scheduling

Cancellations happen – we request that you be available to re-schedule calls within reason. If a mentee is a no-show without advance notice or for an unreasonable reason, you are not expected to accommodate re-booking.

Mentee Pairing

Mentees have been sent this Google Form so we can collect a bit of info about them. We will do our best to pair mentees with you based on relevant career experience and timezone.

You’ll receive an email about a week before the course beings introducing you to your mentees.
